Born and raised on a cotton farm in El Paso, TX
Qualifications: BS Electrical Engineering, Texas-El Paso 1978. MS Computer Engineering, Univ Southern California 1982. Employed at Hughes Aircraft and Raytheon for 34 years until I retired in 2012.
TAAA Experiences: My wife, Ruth, and I joined TAAA around 5 years ago. Active in the Astronomical League (AL) programs. Have completed six AL programs: three telescope and two binocular programs. Currently working on two more AL programs. I attend star parties at TIMPA practically every month. Have been helping the TIMPA Coordinator with opening and closing the facility as needed.
Additional Information: Married to TAAA member Ruth Gomez for 42 years. We have three sons and three grandchildren (two boys and one girl).
