Arriving after Dark

Please make every effort to arrive on site by dusk. If you arrive after dark, as a courtesy to other members, use only your parking lights to approach the setup location.

Rattlesnake and Critter Alert!

We live in a biologically diverse area. Watch for dangers of the desert: rattlesnakes, scorpions, gopher holes, ant holes, etc. In particular, do not attempt to interact with rattlesnakes. They are much faster than our reflexes. We recommend wearing boots and long jeans to dark site star parties.

Star Party Etiquette

TAAA hosts stargazing events across Southern Arizona.   As a member, you not only can access the details of events we host, but can participate with other members in periodic events.

Further, our organization works with the Astronomical League to encourage, support and provide mentors for observing programs.   Learn more about this programs at our Astronomical League page, or our Observing Resources page .
