Robert Reynolds (Secretary)

Bob Reynolds spent 40 years working in construction, commercial and tax functions of international oil and gas firms. He has provided managerial and financial expertise for operations throughout the continental and offshore US as well as in Alaska. Most recently, Bob held leadership roles in BP responsible for US tax and royalty relations with over 20 state and federal agencies as well as native tribes. In addition, he has served on the Boards of 3 nonprofit organizations. In his earlier years, he collected a BA in economics, an MBA in finance and a Masters in Construction Management.

Bob’s interest in astronomy came about one night on the front lawn of his childhood home. After figuring out that the mount of his Bushnell Sky Chief needs to be pointed at the North Star, he excitedly scanned the light filled Los Angeles sky for a star to look at. It turned out to be Saturn and the rest is history. For years after that, his interest in astronomy fluctuated with school, job commitments and adverse elements. However, as retirement approached, he looked for some kindred spirits with a nice dark sky site. Enter TAAA. Since then, given his remote location, he has focused on developing the CAC site and currently heads the CAC Planning Committee.
